President's Message

Welcome to the Methodist Girls’ High School Old Girls’ Association – California Chapter (MGHSOGA California).

It is with great pride and a deep sense of responsibility that I welcome you on behalf of our chapter. MGHS is more than a school—it is a foundation that shaped our values, strengthened our character, and prepared us to lead with integrity, compassion, and purpose. As Old Girls, we carry that legacy wherever we go.

MGHSOGA California exists to nurture the bonds of sisterhood that unite us while actively supporting the continued growth and excellence of our alma mater. Our chapter is built on the belief that gratitude must be expressed through action. We honour the past not only by remembering it, but by investing in the future of the girls who now walk the halls we once did.

Through fellowship, service, and collective giving, we work together to support educational programs, student development, and initiatives that strengthen Methodist Girls’ High School.

Our efforts are guided by the values instilled in us and anchored by our motto, “Honour Before Honours.” This principle reminds us that leadership is demonstrated through service, humility, and commitment.

MGHSOGA California is a welcoming and inclusive community. Whether you are newly connected or have long been part of the sisterhood, your voice, participation, and support matter. Each contribution—of time, talent, or resources—adds strength to our shared mission and helps ensure that the legacy of MGHS continues to thrive.

I invite you to engage fully with our chapter: attend our events, participate in our campaigns, reconnect with sisters, and join us in purposeful action. Together, we can preserve our heritage, advance education, and create lasting impact for generations to come.
